Punggol Mosque, Singapore
Design Proposal : 01/2012
At the corner of a busy intersection on the new satellite town of Punggol in Singapore, we proposed a mosque where the elliptical plan of the main prayer hall is inspired by the shape of fishing boats, native to the area in the past. The rest of the facilities, mainly classrooms, are housed in a four-storey block blocking the prayer hall from taller residential blocks around!
